Casting News: Atlas Shrugged

Posted in Casting News by nightfall 02/28/2008 @ 5:49 p.m.

<Yawn>

I mean, Angelina Jolie as Dagny Taggart. Maybe there will be something worthwhile to watch...

Y'all didn't pick that one either. Yeesh!

Update: Nor did we get Jamie Clay as Galt

Casting News: Star Trek XI

Posted in Casting News by nightfall 02/28/2008 @ 5:49 p.m.

We all know at least some of these casting choices, but just in case anyone missed it:

Chris Pine as Kirk

Zachary Quinto as Spock

Karl Urban as Bones

Simon Pegg as Scotty

John Cho as Sulu (what about Hiro? The son should take the father's place...)

Zoe Saldana as Uhura

Anton Yelchin as Chekov

Winona Ryder as Spock's (human) mom (rowr!)

Bruce Greenwood as Christopher Pike (former captain of the Enterprise, former meaning before Kirk)

Eric Bana as Nero (the villian)

Alrighty then! We got John Cho! Woohoo! Couple votes for Zach, Zoe, and Anton and we completely missed the rest. But we got John Cho!

Casting News: Terminator Salvation

Posted in Casting News by nightfall 02/28/2008 @ 5:48 p.m.

Christian Bale is the new John Connor... It's getting to be like the angsty, emo version of Bond...

Supposedly Josh Brolin will be the new Terminator. I hope he doesn't tax his acting ability with that role. Too bad they didn't pick Javier Bardem. A robot with that haircut would be killer! Get it? Killer?

Ahem, sorry about that.

Casting News: Hugh Keays-Byrne as Martian Manhunter?

Posted in Casting News by nightfall 02/27/2008 @ 3:17 p.m.

According to Aint it Cool News, he is.

Hugh Keays-Byrne at imdb (AICN article has better photos). He was in Mad Max a while back and been mostly on tv otherwise (Journey to the Center of the Earth, Farscape). It appears as though Laurence Fishburne is in the lead for Martian Manhunter here on IC.

More casting news for Justice League in Variety.

What’s This Imaginography Thing?

Posted in Site Features, Help by Cory 02/26/2008 @ 4:30 p.m.

Anyone can vote on a title and contribute to the overall ranking for each character. But what if you want to show everyone exactly who you would cast?

That's where the new Imaginography comes into the picture -- all your votes in one place organized by title or person. Now you can show everyone that perfect cast you've created for Justice League of America or the latest Stephen King opus. Or tell the world just how much you love Johnny Depp after you've cast him in every role in every title known to man.
